The Q-See 2MP QTN8015C IP Bullet camera is new for 2019. It is a low impact high definition fixed lens camera which can be mounted at any angle including under eaves, on walls or inside. The QTN8015C while similar to the QTN8015B has a new case styling, H.265 advanced compression and a slightly wider field of view better. In short range setups this sleek little camera is ideal for home, commercial and small business deployments where basic HD resolution is all that is required.
In the era of 4MP, 5MP, 8MP and soon 12MP the question must be asked – why still use a 2MP IP camera? Other than the clear financial fact (2MP is cheaper) the answer is also practical. 2MP HD cameras are ideal still for covering close in smaller areas like offices, entryways and narrow byways where the scene is near by to the camera and digital zoom would not likely be required. They are perfect for front door close in coverage where the field of view is recording images only a few meters from the camera or side gates.
The Q-See QTN8015C may be aggressively priced but its still has many advanced features include ICR Auto Switch, True Day / Night,3D DNR,Digital WDR and ROI coding with support for P2P, direct DC12V Power Supply or PoE and a built-in Web Server. One concern with the very large image capture cameras is their increased network bandwidth and storage requirements. 4K is essentially 400% more dots than standard 1080P High Definition cameras. Therefore bandwidth, processing and storage requirements are likewise 400% larger. To combat this problem the new 2019 generation of IP cameras from Q-See now support the high efficiency video coding compression algorithm called the H.265 CODEC. H.265 reduces bandwidth and storage needs by 50% when compared to the older H.264 codec.
With the Q-See QTN8015C H.265 double compression is now available in a 2MP HD camera for even longer NVR storage times.
